rakim speaks on nas putting his buisness out there

Rakim talks to HardKnock.Tv’s Nick Huff Barili about the reaction he received from putting out his last album “The Seventh Seal” and he addresses the media exaggerated beef with Nas. Ra goes on to let out the secret that he has been working with Stephen Marley (the generators of his trailer shut down and we lost all the light as soon as he makes announcement, definitely felt like their was a higher energy in the room). When asked if him and Nas could work together in the future, Rakim responds that through the Marley camp maybe him and Nas will do a song together. Lastly he says that if he were to do a song about one person like Nas did of him, Rakim would do it on Muhammad Ali.

I applaud Ra for being the bigger person and peacing it up with Nas. Because if it was me and another man put my buisness out there , and my kids name out there just to sell some records .. me and that person would have some problems. Nas shouldve spoke to rakim before pulling that sucker shit

Man Rakim is the sucker and a liar because he did an interview with Nas in 2006 on MTV and gave Nas much respect for the UBR song. Rakim is a fucking idiot and anyone who is trying to act like Nas did anything or said anything that was not already on the internet about Rakim (his governement and his daughter’s name)is a fool too. Rakim is a phony he has done two songs with Nas after URB was made in 2004…Classic with Premo, Kanye, KRS-1, Nas and Rakim and NY State of Mind 2 with Alicia Keys, Nas and Rakim. Rakim also said on his song “It’s Nothing,” I’ll “pick up where Nas left off.” In the MTV interview in 2006 Rakim sat next to Nas while praising Nas for the URB song…here is the MTV link: http://www.mtv.com/bands/n/nas/news_feature_050206/index3.jhtml

MTV: Rakim, Nas paid you the ultimate compliment in 2004 by recording “U.B.R. (Unauthorized Biography of Rakim)” [on Street's Disciple]. What was it like when you heard that song breaking down your whole life?

Rakim: That kind of puts things in perspective. You got this far and somebody that you respect, somebody that’s on a high plateau, took time and showed you love. And to hear a lot of it, I was like, “Where did he get that from? How did he know that?” He does put things in perspective, man. He kind of opened my eyes, like, “OK, people’s watching. People really know about Rakim.” It kind of let me know where I was in the world.

Nas: Thanks, man. I always wanted to know how you felt about that, ’cause if somebody made a song talking about me and stuff like that, I wouldn’t know how to react. I just had to make a song about Ra ’cause if we in there making songs in the studio, let’s make songs about things that are important. The dude is important right now, so I made a song about how he inspired [people] a great deal. I used to look at Ra like, “This dude’s an alien. He’s an alien. He’s not from here.” That’s how I feel to this day.

This is why some don’t respect the pioneers of hip hop because they don’t appreciate respect of even recognize it when it is given. Nas stay humble and continued being BLESSED while the suckers continue to hate on you for reasons they don’t even know why.
