The interior of the current CLS is better, however this doesnt look bad. They just need 2 lower the ground clearance. Nobody wants go off-roading in this car or see it on hydraulics with some freakin rap music on.

cretulicabz on Tue, 24th Aug 2010 3:55 am
@dslcobra the cls concept showd this year has a very different interior.it’s something of an evolution of the old interior and something like the bmw interior.check cls chooting break concept interior on youtube and you will see.i think this was only for testing purposes
GollyCat on Tue, 24th Aug 2010 4:55 am
I’ve got the current model cls and was looking forward to replacing it with the latest version next year… my heart sank when i saw this. That cls shooting break concept is even worse
Tony27nine on Tue, 24th Aug 2010 5:47 am
criggzz – I agree. This is a massive step towards the CLS becoming mundane and mainstream. The current car really turns heads and the interior leaves this one for dead. Come on Merc you can do better than this! I’ve got rid of my current CLS and am making do until the new one is announced – I was going to put my deposit down the day it became possible but not if this what I’m going to get!!!

i`m happy to so many ppl commenting about this interior…but y`all DON`T KNOW S`HIT` ! this CLS 2011 interior is almost the same as the one in the E-classe 2010 i know because i work at M-B
dongleboo on Tue, 24th Aug 2010 8:17 am
From what I’m seeing here it appears that they not only have made it uglier but also they haven’t changed absolutely nothing in general…it still looks a bit like the old one! And the other thing is that what I’m reading from the comments looks like that most of the MB fans aren’t very happy with this as well!!!
Checkout the new Audi A7 Sportback concept! I think that you’ll like it much more than this!!

sacdude20 on Tue, 24th Aug 2010 10:37 am
You should really look at more modern models of each maker. Acura has gone to a deeply recessed screen which is significantly smaller than BMW/Merc in some cases and BMW actually has the largest screens of all the makers in most of their models. Mercs CL I think has an extended screen option that makes it the largest.
As for a positioning, only recently has acura and infiniti placed their screens on the top of the dash (eye level) like BMW and some mercs. Lexus still has yet to do so
tsgill16 on Tue, 24th Aug 2010 11:28 am
Lexus, Infiniti, Acura, and all Japanese cars have big screens, they aren’t covered by anything, and they’re at eye level. Mercs and BMWs have small tiny screens which are hidden. Those are useless. Plus interiors of Japanese cars have a better lay out of the dashboard….it looks much more luxurious and there’s better placement of buttons and everything else. Well speaking from my experience the screens in a Lexus and Infiniti are much better than the screens in a Merc and BMW.
sacdude20 on Tue, 24th Aug 2010 11:30 am
There is a reason everyone is placing the screen higher up and semi-covered…its a lot easier to use! Thats why the touch screens are going away and only the lesser brands (infiniti/lexus/acura) are holding on to them because they’re having a hard time creating their own version of BMW’s original i-drive.
Especially if you’re using Merc’s version (the command center), you want to have it at eye level so its easier to use. Speaking from experience, its WAY better than touch screens

The car has the looks of a future car but the interior does not support the exterior, but overall it’s a nice car.;-(
Cum Shooter on Wed, 8th Sep 2010 8:59 pm
I’m kinda mixed on this one the old CLS is definetly better but if the price of this one get’s into the high 70K to 80K range I woudl just get the Porche Panamera it looks better…also somebody mentioned the Audi A7..it looks better but it only puts out 300 plus HP with it’s most powerful engine and that won’t cut it for the price they are asking..
