SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Fulton County police are investigating the robbery and shooting of a rapper at a car wash in South Fulton County Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the shooting victim was rapper Juaquin Malphurs, better known by his stage name, Waka Flocka Flame. The shooting happened at a car wash at 5320 Old National Highway.
Investigators said Malphurs’ gold chain and wallet were taken before he was shot in the arm. Malphurs was transported to a local hospital for treatment of what police called a significant but not life-threatening wound.
The shooting suspect is described as a black man with a brown complection, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11 in height, with a low fade haircut, and a tattoo between his eyebrows of two circles and three squares. Police said the suspect also had a dollar sign tattooed on his left cheek. The suspect was wearing a white tank top, blue jeans and red underwear.
Anyone who has any information about this case is asked to call Fulton County Police.
